The Asphalt Pavement Alliance developed the prestigious Perpetual Pavement Awards to recognize long-lide asphalt pavements across the United States and honor projects that demonstrate outstanding design, construction, and performance.

The Asphalt Pavement Alliance proudly recognizes 21 agencies across the United States for excellence in long-life asphalt pavement design, construction, and performance. These award-winning project exemplify innovation, durability, and long-term value for the traveling public.

Asphalt Pavement Alliance Awards

Perpetual by Performance

The Perpetual by Performance Award recognizes state agencies and other pavement owners whose long-life asphalt pavements exemplify the principles of Perpetual Pavement design. By Performance honors projects that are at least 35 years old, have experienced no structural failure, and have maintained an average resurfacing interval of at least 13 years.

Perpetual by Design

State agencies and road owners continue to recognize the value of Perpetual Pavements. The Asphalt Pavement Alliance (APA) accepts nominations for newly designed and constructed asphalt pavements built on new subgrade that meet the principles of Perpetual Pavement design.

Perpetual by Conversion

Many pavement owners recognize the benefits of converting existing roadways into Perpetual Pavements. The Asphalt Pavement Alliance (APA) accepts nominations for newly constructed asphalt pavements built over existing roadways that meet the principles of Perpetual Pavement design.
